Self-compassion practice will not work if we are not compassionate to everyone else. If we are angry with other people the causes of our anger will target us too.
Ice cream example:
– I am attached to ice-cream (the cause),
– I will be angry with anyone who would not give it to me.
– The same attachment will target me too: for not getting the ice-cream, not having enough if it, the right flavor, etc.
Internal causes don’t discriminate.
Our compassion should not either.
