Functional intuition requires the following three components:
1. Data. The subject area knowledge.
2. Emotional dependency — or rather independence from the inquiry.
3. Practice: the skill. How well we have trained the “follow your guts” muscle. In listening, hearing, and actually following our intuition.
A clear, unbiased inquiry may call for some emotions processing.
If successful, we can feel the tension, the emotional weight of the situation dissolving.
The choice is easy and clear.
